Age Is Just A Number!

When you are 98 years old and the doc says your heart is stable with no changes since the last test… life is good.
That’s our Piggie, folks!
She had an ultrasound of her heart and the vet called today to say Piggie is perfect. Of course, this DogMa already knew that, but to hear the doc say it today was music to my ears.
While my sweet Pig is 98 in “human years,” she is 14 in dog years and that is a seasoned age, to say the least. She is technically older than my mom!

Piggie and I moved to Buffalo (my hometown) two years ago to help my mom with daily life and honestly, I believe that’s extended both of their lives.
I must preface this by saying I did not grow up with dogs and oh how I tried.. relentlessly, for years.
I say that, because my mom has never had a dog.
It's difficult to believe, because she and Piggie are bonifide besties, 100%. I constantly find them together on the couch… my mother petting and talking to Piggie and the Pig soaking in every moment and appearing to understand every word. And if they are not engaged in conversations, they are snoozing together.

It is ridiculous, in the best of ways.
The two old birds are still kicking and giving me a run for my money.... the human more so.
I’m not complaining. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Viva la Pig! Viva la Grammaline!
